Jon Slattery was born on the 15th of April 1970 in Co. Kildare. He has one older sister, Fiona and is the proud uncle of her adorable son, Draoi.

Jon's education started in the local primary school in Clane and after that in Newbridge College where he learned that he loved the rugby pitch a lot more than the classroom. Jon still plays rugby for his local club, Clane RFC.

Jon's first love was radio and after a year in Ballyfermot Senior College was delighted to get his first job on Radio Kerry, where, as well as presenting, he worked his way up to Head of Production. From Kerry he moved to Dublin working for FM104, followed by Today FM.

As a presenter Jon's progression into TV was a natural one and over the past 10 years he has presented programmes for RTE1, RTE2, TV3, BBC, ITV, SKY TRAVEL, DISCOVERY REAL TIME and GRANADA MEN and MOTORS.

Jon met Ciara in 2003 on the set of ‘Last One Standing', a quiz show that Jon was presenting for RTE. Ciara was a runner at the time and, although she did try to run at first, he got her eventually. The rest, they say, is history.

Nowadays Ciara and Jon run Trilogy Media Productions and are just as surprised as everyone else at their ability to work together, without killing each other. Though they have come close a few times?!
